I am an essayist, writer and director in the media industry. I've been employed by a number of companies such as The New York Times and Vanity Fair, as well as being involved with numerous projects from writing screenplays to directing documentary films. Throughout my employment I've been continually inspired by different people and the media that they produce.

Artists are the reason why I'm constantly pushed to challenge myself and create new things. Artists push the boundaries of what is considered "mainstream", they don't stick to a certain style or medium, they experiment, they create, they inspire. Artists are free expression in its rawest form and in order to continue creating art, artists need exposure. This can often be quite a daunting task to start off with but thankfully there are numerous ways in which artists can become famous or at least have their work seen by millions of people. One of the most common ways is through television.

For me, a perfect example of this is David Lynch. Lynch is probably best known for his work on the hit show Twin Peaks which was aired from 1990 to 1991. This show is definitely what made him famous, as well as a number of other works he has produced or been involved in, such as Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive. Television has been an integral part of making David Lynch's name well known among people all around the worlI think that using media such as television can be a great way to make money and become famous however I also think that it can have adverse effects if used incorrectly.Informative and Factual Blog Post
